Officer Michelle Pratt

Salem Police Department Saves Club

On May 14, 2019, Officer Michelle Pratt was conducting a traffic stop when the driver exited the vehicle and shot her four times from less than 5 feet away with a 45. ACP. Officer Pratt maintained her composure with the utmost professionalism and called in the information about the shooter, requested her own med unit and then applied her own tourniquet.

Officer Pratt was hit in the shoulder, both legs and on the vest. The Safariland® Summit™ IIIA body armor vest stopped the .45 ACP ball round that struck her in the back. She is recovering from the hits off the armor and hopes to return to full duty as soon as she finishes up her physical therapy.

We welcome Officer Michelle Pratt, SAVE #2058, to The Safariland Group SAVES CLUB®.
