Rated 5 out of 5 by from They’ll fit any j-frame, with compatible grips The negative reviews from customers with j-frame revolvers who say they don’t work with their gun are completely unfair to Safariland. The only reason they may not work on someones j-frame is because of they grips they have installed. Safariland specifically states the grips may need to be modified or changed for the speedloader to function properly. Certain grips just get in the way and aren’t compatible, while others work fine. They tell you this, more than once. It does not mean they won’t work with a particular j-frame model, and it does not mean the product is not good and deserves a poor rating. It just means the reviewer did not pay proper attention to instructions,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good once you get the trick to locking them I put the rounds in, hold it with the ends of the bullets resting downward against a hard flat surface, and press downward on the knob and twist. Works every time for me. Every other method I've tried was a frustrating mess. Once they're locked in there, they stay put until I want them out. Very good product -- but could use better instructions on the package (unless they're there already, and I just didn't read what was in front of me).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Small Speedloader I just purchased a Ruger SP101 .357 MAG 5 shot revolver. I bought 5 of these little speed loaders for it and they work great! Now my only issue is trying to find belt holders for these little speed loaders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues here... I have several of these for my S&W 60 (.357 Mag) & S&W 638. They work just fine. One has to practice with them! Loading them, using them etc. There are a few methods one can use to activate the lock, it’s not that hard. Likewise the OEM S&W grips SUCK! They will not work with virtually any speedloader, do yourself a favor & get some decent after market grips that have the correct relief behind the cylinder release. Now I wish Safariland would reintroduce the Colt D frame Comp1’s since Colt is now back in the DA revolver business. I have some old D frame Comp1’s but sold off the Det Spl a while back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best for "J" frame S&W Comp II not available for "J" frames. The size of the knob is not an issue as it releases when pressed against the ejector

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little tricky at first, but now I'm sold I bought the group I for my SP101 in .357 magnum. I (at first) found the operation of the knob a little tricky, couldn't get it to lock in. Well, after some experimentation I found the trick. I use these to shoot competitively and honestly, they are the bomb. Bullets drop into place and speedloader drops away. Much faster than the competition's product. Don't hesitate, get this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best loader IMHO I have 2 of these for my j frame and they work perfect. No clearance problems like you get with a bigger knob. I actually came here to order more. I have carried two in my off side pocket for a couple years and had O problems. I just carry them in my jeans pocket. Carry better than others w a big knob.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slimline Speedloader The Comp I speedloader is a skinny little thing. It feels a little more rickety than the dominant speedloader on the market, but this isn't a deal breaker. Pros: This may be the most concealable speedloader on the market. Cons: 1A) It’s still a fat round thing in your front pocket. 1B) When was relative speedloader concealability a purchase point, anyway? 2) It doesn't feel... as durable as the revolvers it's made for. 3) The nob is teeny and difficult to manipulate under stress. It's a decent speedloader. Grab one if you get a deal or need a compact reload.
