Course Overview
This course focuses on building individual skills through a personalized improvement plan.
It should be stressed that this course is not a basic marksmanship course, and it starts fast and gains momentum. Students considering this course should be skilled with all aspects of handgun shooting, and should be in the upper third of their department performance parameters.
This course will focus on advanced handgun techniques, such as, but not limited to:
- Speed
- Accuracy
- Movement while shooting
- Moving-target engagement
- Multiple target movement drills
- Extreme accuracy and speed drills
Prerequisites
The Safariland Training Group only trains law enforcement officers, military personnel and correctional personnel.
Required Equipment
- Duty belt
- Holster
- Magazine Pouch
- Duty Holster
- Duty Handgun
- At Least Five Magazines
- 1000 rounds of ammunitions
- Dump pouch is optional
