Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returning for quality check! I was pleasantly surprised when the 45 days shipping delay was only 14 days before the product arrived! The 123 Battery and Adapter worked perfectly and I saved the 2 AAA batteries for other electronics. I was disappointed in the sound suppression, sidetone, and clipping of gun fire. I spent 21 years in the USAF Avionics and this would have been unacceptable performance of communications gear. I would recommend one good mode of operation instead of three subpar modes! I am going to return them for a check, and if they pass, I'm going to ask for a refund!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I have ever used. Tried them yesterday and they are very comfortable. The gel ear pads are much better than the upgraded Sordin's, although I prefer the padded headband of the Sordins. The hearing protection is noticeably superior to the Sordins and they pick up and amplify the ambient sound much better than the Sordins. The battery compartment is easily accessible from the outside and you can use AAA or Lithium 123 batteries. The included instructions leave a lot to be desired though. All in all, the Liberators are superior in every way that matters

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to love but they are just OK Bought these to replace my broken set of Peltor Tactical sports. High hopes for these but they did not meet my expectation. Does not seem to amplify speech as well as my pletors. I had difficulty hearing instructors on a firing line who were right in front of me. Never had that issue with me Peltors. Not as crisp or clear for environment sounds as claimed. I love safariland stuff but these did not pass muster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for Part 2 Now that I've had a chance to use them for a little while everything I said about the previous generation DEHP holds true with the Liberator HP as well, and then some. I'm a competition shooter and go through 10,000 plus rounds, and spend hundreds of hours wearing hearing protection each year. The performance of the electronics in this headset are far and away the best in the industry. Where other systems leave me listening to gravel crunching and wind blowing these allow me to hear people talking and things I need to hear. The added noise cancellation modes are a welcome addition . The comfort with the new gel seals is unbelievable, battery life is excellent and now more flexible with the 123A capability, and they're truly impervious to sweat. Bottom line, they're expensive but worth it if you're a serious shooter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The finest over-the-ear hearing protection... I had a chance to use a production model at the 2017 Safariland Expedition Multigun competition, and I was surprised at how lightly they fit over my ears. I love how clearly I could hear and it barely felt like I was wearing anything. This was especially great in the 115 degree Las Vegas weather. On the first stage I was using them, I was running my pistol and had to transition to my shotgun. As I moved through the course of fire I became nervous wondering if the hearing protection I was trying out was adequate for a shotgun. Pistols are one thing, but a 12 gauge is another. To my pleasant surprise, they MORE than did their job! I almost preferred them to my custom electronic in-ear protection. One thing I also noticed was the accelerometer allows for battery saving. They turn off if they don't feel any motion after a while. Everything about these headsets just blows my mind. I didn't know hearing protection could be so robust and luxurious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe I'm lucky Just received those ear pros and they work as intended. It came with all the accessories including the cr123 battery with adapter, two AAA batteries, ear pro cover and two pieces of paper that explain most of the functions of the ear pro. I played with all three modes. The first mode is sound localization and noise compression which is the common mode for use at the range and the sound was crisp, almost sounded like I didnt have ear pros on. Second mode active noise cancellation, so I fire up youtube and play some white noise. It work all right, didn't block out all the noise that I was expecting it to do but it did block out my fan noise from the PC. Its probably not a good test to base it on. And the final mode is the mix mode a nice option to have. Take my review as a grain of salt as it seems like I was one of the lucky ones that had a working as intended ear pro and the fact I have not taken it to the range yet. Also there was no mention of the NFC in the instructions paper which I imagine is a feature not available until later. Attached is the Attenuation data.
