Safariland Adds Fits to SLS Line For New Beretta 90two Handgun

ONTARIO, Calif., September 8, 2006—Safariland, the world’s largest supplier of holsters and duty gear, and a subsidiary of Armor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AH), a leading manufacturer and distributor of safety and survivability systems, tactical wheeled vehicles and vehicle armor systems serving military, law enforcement, homeland security and commercial markets, announced today the addition of several new fits to its popular Self-Locking System (SLS) holster line for the recently introduced Beretta 90two handgun. Tactical holster Model 6004, duty holster Model 6285, and concealment holster Model 6518 featuring Safariland’s time-tested SLS rotating hood system, are now available for this new handgun.

These new duty holster offerings provide Level II Retention™ with a top draw and straight drop cant, a style popular with major police departments and a personal choice of individual officers. In addition, weapon security can be elevated to Level III Plus Retention™ with the addition of the Sentry.

The SLS allows for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted takeaways. The holster’s unique rotating hood design can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward, and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. It is also far less likely to release accidentally than conventional thumb break snaps. For additional fit and finish information, please visit www.safariland.com.

Safariland® Introduces New Retention Holster Concept To Its Line of Duty Holsters

ONTARIO, CA, January 1, 2006—A year in the making, Safariland has introduced the next evolution of duty retention holsters with their all new Automatic Locking System (ALS™) uniformed duty holsters. Available in either a standard ride (Model 6360) or with a 1.5" belt drop (Model 6365), the key to this system is an internal locking device that secures the weapon in all directions simply upon reholstering, providing Level II Plus Retention™, which can also be elevated to Level III Plus Retention™ with the addition of the Sentry.

The Model 6360 ALS™ Level II Plus duty holster utilizes the SLS rotating hood design as the primary security system for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. Yet uniquely new is the ALS™ internal locking mechanism that locks into the ejection port combines with the SLS, offering three distinct design differences from previous models. First, once the weapon is holstered, it "locks" into place, providing an extra measure of security from the standard Level II Retention™ holsters.  Second, once the SLS is released, the holster is completely operable with the thumb, making it very instinctive to use. And finally, when all retention devices are released, the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting or other motion required.

The Models 6360 and 6365 feature a tensioning device, molded sight track and SAFARI-SUEDE™ lining to protect the gun's sights and finish. Its wraparound construction and SAFARI-LAMINATE™ structure provides the strongest design combination available. The SAFARILAND rigid UBL anchors the holster and stabilizes it on your duty belt with hardened aerospace fasteners. Further, this new ALS™ system is also offered in Tactical and Concealment holster offerings.

The new ALS Models 6360 and 6365 are available to fit the most popular semiautomatic pistols, with additional fits to be added throughout the 2006 year. These models are offered in SAFARILAMINATE™ Plain, Basket weave, and Hi-Gloss, with an MSRP of $161.50 and in STX Tactical™ with an MSRP of $115.00. Available now.

Safariland's New "Automatic Locking System" (ALS™) Introduced in Best Selling Tactical Line

ONTARIO, CA, January 1, 2006—New for 2006, Safariland has added two new tactical holster models that employ their evolutionary new Automatic Locking System (ALS™). The new Model 6304 and Model 6305 include all the features of the standard 6004/6005. While both models utilize Safariland's time-tested Self Locking System (SLS), there is one key addition: the ALS™ internal locking device that retains the weapon in all directions when the primary device is open, providing Level II Plus Retention™, which can also be elevated to Level III Plus Retention™ with the addition of the Sentry.

The ALS™ Models 6304 and 6305 with Detachable Buckle come with the Hood Guard installed and offer three distinct design differences from previous models. First, once the weapon is holstered, it "locks" into place via the ejection port, providing an extra measure of security from standard Level II Retention™ holsters. Second, once the SLS is released, the holster is completely operable with the thumb, making it very instinctive to use.  And finally, once these retention devices are released, the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting or other motion required.

The inclusion of the SLS rotating hood system is ideal for today's tactical situations. This design allows a smoother single-motion draw and great protection against attempted takeaways and provides reliability in the unpredictable conditions that occur during tactical operations.

The Model 6304 offers comfort and stability with its double leg strap. MSRP is 175.00 for the STX Tactical™ finish and $190.00 for Camouflage.
