WHY BREAK FREE® CLP®?
• It has been proven to perform in temperatures ranging from -65˚F to +475˚F and after saltwater immersion
• It is manufactured from the highest-quality polymerized synthetic oils plus special friction-reducing, anti-wear additives
• It reduces metal-to-metal wear by protecting treated surfaces with an advanced boundary film
• It does not deteriorate under high temperatures and extreme pressure. Other brands may contain wax-based materials that will degrade and solidify into a gummy residue
• It displaces and loosens residue and contaminants from bearing areas
• It protects metals with special rust inhibitors

CLEANS: Break-Free CLP has a special cleaning action that breaks loose dirt and corrosion that can damage metal. Special penetrating formula displaces trapped grit and frees sticky, rusted, or corroded mechanisms.

LUBRICATES: Break-Free CLP has superior lubricating qualities that keeps parts working smoothly. CLP’s proprietary formula contains multiple ingredients including specially treated PTFE for improved boundary film strength that reduces friction, retards wear, and stops build-up of foreign matter.

PRESERVES: Break-Free CLP provides a long-lasting protective coating that shields all metals from rust and corrosion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Can Does It All. I bought Breakfree CLP about a year ago and have still have the same can. This has replaced my cleaners and lubricants on my firearms, including solvents, oils and other protectants. It foams up, which can be a good or bad thing, but it really helps to coat and break up the dirt. In fact it works so well all I have to use to clean the bore is a patch. I've never had to use a wire brush since I've used this cleaner. It also goes a long way, so all you need is a few spritzes. You don't have to lean on the spray button like the other CLP's out there. I also use this on my cars and tools and it works great. If you want a cleaner, lube and preservative for metal, look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tested by a Gunsmith A friend of mine's father is a gun smith and he tested a number of lubricants by coating gun parts and immersing them under water for a period of time. The Breakfree CLC maintained the longest and this kind of testing from someone I know and trust is all I needed. I am not the only one who knows about this because I just read an article in a hunting magazine that for hunting in the cold, you should scrub and degrease your gun and then.....coat all with Breakfree CLC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing Better How good is Break Free? Good enough for the US Military. When we first began to punch artillery tubes with it 30 yrs ago Fire Direction Control folks had to re-chrono due to the difference in fps from the old mineral spirits/gun oil cleaning. Good stuff - nothing else compares.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Break Free CLP- 12 oz aeresol can Hello- I have used Break Free CLP for at least 10 years on all my firearms and have always had great results. I purchased a can of the 12 oz. CLP that comes in the aerosol spray can that was the only CLP my local store had at the time. I have always had Break Free CLP in liquid form in bottles and really like that you can shake it up to mix and use it. Well the 12 oz. can says also to shake it up to mix, but when you go to use , it just foams up everywhere. I am unable to use the little straw to get into small areas because it blows off from the force of the foam that shoots out. Anyways, I will never purchase 12 oz. can again and will stick to the liquid bottles, they seem to work the best for me. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Cleaner/lubricant I have never heard of CLP causing oxidation or damaging any firearm. I have used it on my personal firearms and in the Canadian Military since late 80's. Strange

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Break free is The best thing since sliced bread. This is great for people who have to clean more than one weapon at a time. It saves time because you because you don't have to put up the solvent and get out oil and oil when you are not going to cross contamination.
