Patrol-Related Training

Featuring a proliferation of small- to large-scale riots, the Safariland Training Group’s Crowd Management/Mobile Field Force program meets the needs of agencies that are tasked with crowd control. With classroom and practical application, this four-day course is for everyone from the patrolman to the supervisor, covering all aspects of dealing with situations from an orderly protest to a large-scale riot.

Our High-Risk Warrant Service program is a course like no other. The action-based program features very little classroom time and focuses on firearms, movement and deployment skills and includes force-on-force scenario-based drills. The class is designed specifically for SWAT/warrant-entry team members or narcotic operators who have the task of executing hazardous warrants.

Designed by female law enforcement officers for female law enforcement officers, the goal of this course is to impart the skills and knowledge required to survive a fight for your life. Students will develop improved firearms accuracy, mental preparation and confidence through this challenging training education concept.

Security officers, teachers, paramedics and hospital emergency room personnel are also increasingly responding to individuals with mental illness. Situations involving individuals in serious mental health crises are potentially dangerous, difficult, volatile, and litigious.

This class is an introduction to, and overview of one of the most important issues confronting criminal justice today. Responding to individuals in serious mental health crises has become one of the most difficult, complex, potentially dangerous and litigious issues facing law enforcement and corrections today.

Violence in the work place, schools, malls, and other venues is escalating at an alarming rate. Innocent victims are falling prey to armed intruders with one mission in mind - committing mass murder. Historically these events create victims in the first few seconds and potentially mass murder before the police have time to respond. The objective of this course is to train on-scene security personnel (armed or un-armed) in the initial actions to make a difference and potentially save lives the crucial 3 to 4 minutes before police can arrive.

This course not only provides a review of Active Shooter incidents, suspect behavior, and historical data, but unlike many Active Shooter courses we focus on “one and two man” responses. We provide those first responders with the skills and tactics necessary make a difference in the first critical minutes. This class covers rapid deployment, weapons and equipment, breaching, and room entry.

This course will teach Field Supervisors, Tactical and Incident Commanders the basics on how to confidently make decisions and make them in seconds in major violent incidents and natural disaster evacuations where people are at risk, based on case law and ethics.

This course will expose the student to a systematic (P.R.I.M.E. T.I.M.E.) approach when interviewing and/or interrogating witnesses/suspects as a result of an investigation. Following this same methodology each time will ensure the investigator will address all the nuances and facets imperative to a successful criminal investigation.

This class is for law enforcement, military and corrections officers who want to become trained as Mental Health Peace Officer professionals. Responding to individuals in serious mental health crises has become a significant part of the job for all types of officers and anyone who may come in contact with people who are suffering from mental health issues.

When a critical incident situation erupts, it is essential to make the right call in a matter of seconds, especially when you may or may not have the option to have a SWAT team called in or get there in time. The goal in these encounters is to contain and isolate the threat. This course teaches you all the things you need to know to be able to make those split second decisions that could save lives.

This is an advanced bicycle operations class that covers offensive and defensive tactics, enforcement tactics for urban and rural settings, crowd management and instructor development including on-line resources. A portion will also be focused on increasing bicycle safety in your community including bicycle rodeos. This course promises to bring new ideas and strategies to your existing bicycle programs and is appropriate for line or supervisory personnel who ride.
