This course not only provides a review of Active Shooter incidents, suspect behavior, and historical data, but unlike many Active Shooter courses we focus on “one and two man” responses. We provide those first responders with the skills and tactics necessary make a difference in the first critical minutes. This class covers rapid deployment, weapons and equipment, breaching, and room entry.

Course Overview
This course reviews Active Shooter incidents such as terrorist attacks, school massacres and disgruntled employees attacks through historical data. We include an in-depth look at suspect behaviors, police response times, and other factors that provide students with the right choices to save lives.
Students are provided proven tactics and techniques to be able to respond to an active shooter situation involving hostages, innocent bystanders and suspects and how to deal with multi – jurisdictional responses.
The class addresses rapid deployment, breaching, dynamic movement, room entries, and threat evaluation. In addition we provide instruction about weapons and necessary equipment and how to use all of these to your advantage.
Prerequisites
The Safariland Training Group trains only law-enforcement officers, military personnel, qualified security personnel and correctional personnel.
Required Equipment
- "Wrap-around" eye protection
- Uniform or whatever is typically worn on duty
- Light jacket or sweat shirt with no police markings for role playing exercises
- No weapons of any kind
