PRODUCT ADVISORY UPDATE - #1325 40mm Single Launcher Manufactured from October 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008

On February 18, 2009, a Production Advisory was issued for the Defense Technology™ Model
#1325 40mm Single Shot Launcher, which had been purchased between October 2008 and
December 2008. The trigger and hammer mechanisms on the single launcher occasionally
produced a light hammer strike due to recent production modification.
 
Adjustments have been made to the manufacturing process to ensure a resolve of this issue. A new forged hammer has been examined and tested and will be used in all launchers involved in this Product Advisory. We have begun fulfillment of backorders as of Tuesday, October 6, 2009. We are contacting agencies for return of their #1325 launchers for a scheduled retrofit, which does not require ATF paperwork.  Therefore we will cease using the Penn Launcher replacement program in place of our own #1325 40MM Single Launcher.
 
Given the manufacturing and processing time for the required ATF paperwork for remaining products on backorder, we project to begin shipping those by November 12, 2009.  Our customer care staff will contact each department to efficiently manage the retrofit of launchers in use. With the process we have put in place, upon receipt, we will retrofit and return launchers to the respective agency within five business days. To ensure an effective and smooth process, we ask that departments not send any launchers to the Casper facility until they have been contacted by our staff.
