Warren Kanders to Acquire Safariland, a Leading Manufacturer of Products for Law Enforcement
STAMFORD, Connecticut – Warren B. Kanders, through an affiliate of Kanders and Company, Inc. ("Kanders"), along with the management team of Safariland ("the Company"), have acquired Safariland from BAE Systems, Inc. ("BAE Systems") for cash consideration, after adjustment, of approximately $124 million.

Team Safariland Shooter Bobby McGee Wins Fifth Event This Season
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Safariland®, a BAE Systems line of business, announced today that Team Safariland member Bobby McGee was awarded the Enhanced Service Pistol Division Overall Champion at the 2012 Golden Gate IDPA Championships in Richmond, CA earlier this month. McGee is starting off the 2012 competitive shooting season strong, with five major first place finishes so far this year.

Safariland® Save Sgt. Randy Crowther Represents Safariland in 2012 Police Unity Tour
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Safariland, a BAE Systems line of business, is pleased to announce that Sergeant Randy Crowther of the Orem, UT Police Department, and a member of the Safariland® Saves Club®, represented Safariland in the 2012 Police Unity Tour.
Crowther, riding his Safariland/Kona Patrol Bike 29er, left Somerset, NJ with a small group of 300 other officers from the Western United States for the first leg of the tour. This group was part of a much larger assembly of law enforcement officer cyclists who were making the ride to Washington, DC to take part in the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation (NLEOMF) ceremony.

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Safariland®, a BAE Systems line of business, proudly congratulates Team Safariland members on their outstanding wins at the 2012 MidwayUSA/NRA Bianchi Cup Championship in Columbia, MO, May 23-26, 2012. After a tough competition, Koenig took home his 14th overall win and Julie Golob achieved top honors winning her 3rd Ladies National Championship with a 1907 144x. Both Koenig and Golob won using the new Safariland Model 014 Competition Holster introduced earlier this year.

Safariland® Releases Next Generation Competition Holster
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Safariland®, a BAE Systems business, announced today that it has released the Model 014 Open Class Competition Holster. This holster offers a host of advantages over other competition holsters, primarily in its ability to be customized. It is fully adjustable, compact and lightweight, and features an adjustable slider bar for the muzzle retainer that helps to keep the handgun from being knocked out of holster while seated.
The Safariland Model 014 Open Class Competition Holster is the next generation of competition holster for the Open and Limited Class shooter. It will accommodate handguns from 5” to 7.5” in length, including the compensator, and it is made of hard anodized aluminum with a limited-movement pivot ball that provides four axis adjustments.

Safariland has teamed with Kona USA, one of the world’s leading all-terrain bicycle manufacturers, to develop the flagship product in the line, the Safariland®/Kona® Patrol Bike 29er. Safariland®/Kona® Patrol Bike Team Participates In 24 Hours at Old Pueblo
Safariland®, a BAE Systems business, participated in the 13th annual Kona® Bikes 24 Hours of Old Pueblo with its new Safariland/Kona Patrol Bike 29er. Held in Tucson, Arizona on February 17-19, 2012, this event is described as the largest 24-hour mountain biking event in the United States. Safariland’s involvement in the ride was focused on testing their law enforcement Patrol Bike to see just how well the 29er would do against the rough and rugged desert environment.
