Safariland® salutes Project 999 Memorial Ride participants for cycling 630 miles from the California State Peace Officer Memorial in Sacramento to the Peace Officer Memorial in Tustin, CA on May 24 – 28. Project 999, a non-profit fundraiser supervised by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (CA), provides financial support to the families of fallen officers injured or killed in the line of duty. Every May, officers from different agencies throughout Orange County come together for this Memorial Ride to commemorate the lives of these officers. This year, Safariland sponsored the Orange County Sheriff’s department with team jerseys for participating officers.

Safariland® congratulates Team Safariland members for their performance and accolades at the 2013 NRA Bianchi Cup Pistol Tournament. Doug Koenig achieved an amazing15th Bianchi Cup national title with a clean score of 1920-183x! Doug had close competition from fellow Team Safariland member, Carl Bernosky, who also had a clean score with 1920-178x. In addition, Jessie Duff went on to capture the ladies championship title, while Robert Vadasz won the Metallic division and Rob Leatham finished a close second in the production division, all using Safariland holsters and equipment.

HATCH® responds to the Moore Tornado recovery team by donating Operator™ HK field gloves to first responders sifting through debris. After just one day of searching through sharp and heavy ruins, the first responders’ were left with shredded gloves, making it difficult for them to assist the community in the search and rescue efforts.

Safariland® applauds Team Safariland shooters, Rob Leatham and Jessie Duff, for their remarkable wins at the 2013 USPSA Single Stack National Championship held May 9 - 11 at PASA Park, Barry, IL. Both sporting the Safariland ELS belt system with a USPSA adaptor mount, Leatham triumphed with his 17th Single Stack National win while Duff competed in her first Single Stack National and was respectably crowned as the ladies champion.

Safariland® announced today that it has released the all-new 7TS™ Holster Series. This next generation injection-molded holster design is constructed of SafariSeven™ material, a proprietary nylon blend from DuPont™ that is completely non-abrasive to the weapon’s finish. Virtually impervious to weather extremes, the 7TS holsters are operationally and structurally cold tolerant to at least -50 degrees Fahrenheit and heat tolerant to at least 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Safariland® proudly congratulates Team Safariland members, including now 13-time champion Michael Voigt, on their outstanding wins at the 2013 USPSA MultiGun Nationals. Held at the Desert Sportsman Range in Las Vegas, NV, 12 challenging courses tested the shooters’ skills operating the rifle, shotgun and pistol. After three days of facing top-shooters in this event, Team Safariland’s Michael Voigt won the open championship with his impeccable performance.

PROTECH® Tactical announced today the availability of their new Type IV Armor Piercing Threat Plate, the Model 2230. This new plate has satisfied the hard armor plate requirements of the National Institute of Justice’s (NIJ) Voluntary Body Armor Compliance Testing Program under NIJ Standard-0101.06 (NIJ-06).
