The Safariland Group Appoints Christopher E. Kubasik to its Board of Directors
Maui Acquisition Corp, the parent corporation of The Safariland Group (the “Company”), a leading global provider of a diverse range of safety and survivability products designed for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets today announced the appointment of Christopher E. Kubasik to its Board of Directors effective immediately. In addition to serving on the Board, Mr. Kubasik will also serve as the Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee.

Elite European Forces Select Med-Eng EOD9 for Multi-Threat Blast Protection
Med-Eng®, a brand of The Safariland Group, announced today that it has recently been awarded contracts totalling more than $7,000,000 to provide multi-threat blast protection equipment to elite bomb disposal technicians in four European countries. The suit and helmet ensemble offers protection and operational capabilities to frontline personnel disposing of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and other explosive materials in both military and public safety operations.

Safariland Introduces Rogers’ Rail Lite
The Safariland® brand announced today the release of the Rogers’ Rail Lite (RRL), a gun-mounted light which offers target illumination at a low cost. The RRL is designed to quickly and easily mount to any Picatinny/1913 or light rail of most modern handguns and rifles. The RRL can disengage effortlessly, be used on or off a gun and can easily fit into a pocket.

Emergency Response Course by The Safariland Training Group Receives Excellent Reviews from the Education Community
The Safariland Training Group receives positive feedback as their Train the Trainer Emergency Response to an Armed Intruder course becomes increasingly popular with each training session. The program, that was launched earlier this year, trains school educators and administrators on how to respond during an armed intruder situation. Attendees are walking away with a greater understanding of what they can do to save lives before the police arrive.

Counterfeit Body Armor Identified by Florida Department of Law Enforcement
The Safariland Group has been notified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) regarding counterfeit body armor vests that have been confiscated in an investigation in the southeastern United States. Among the numerous vest models seized, the ABA® and Second Chance® brands were identified among the several counterfeit brands being offered for sale at gun shows.

The Safariland Group (the “Company”), a leading global provider of a diverse range of safety and survivability products designed for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets, has acquired Tactical Command Industries, Inc. (“TCI”), a communications integration business focused on tactical communications systems, including customized and commercial off the shelf headsets and audio solutions. TCI operates out of facilities located in Brentwood, California and Gilmanton, New Hampshire.

The Safariland Group Acquires the Med-Eng® Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Crew Survivability Businesses of Allen-Vanguard Corporation
The Safariland Group (the “Company”), a leading provider of safety and survivability products for law enforcement, military, tactical, professional and outdoor markets has acquired the explosive ordnance disposal (“EOD”) and crew survivability (“CS) businesses (the “Businesses”) of Allen-Vanguard Corporation, the leader in customized solutions for defeating terrorist and extremist threats. The Businesses acquired include the Med-Eng® brand of EOD bomb suits and remotely operated vehicles and the crew survivability products include customized blast attenuation seats and thermal management systems. The Businesses are located in Ottawa and Pembroke, Canada and Ogdensburg, New York.
