ELS Competition Rigs
Safariland is pleased to offer the new ELS belt system for competition
shooting. This system is so versatile and functional that it is changing the way
competitive shooters rig up for their competitions. I've been working with Team
Safariland this year in developing a number of rig options; the combinations are
endless. Below is what our team has found to work best for each type of
shooting.
Start with the model 030 underbelt. Next is the 032 ELS Competition outer belt.
We designed it to be very strong to hold your holster and high capacity
magazines in place, yet light and comfortable. Check out my rigs below.

Single Stack Rig
| Here is my Single Stack ELS rig that I change out to Production Class when changing classes.
I can simply change out the pouches and holster and in a matter of seconds, the rig is converted.
I like to use the 771 pouch in the first reload location as seen in the single stack rig, and then the model 773 closed front pouches with the rest of the magazines for extra security.

Production Class Rig
| Here my rig set up for Production Class;
I simply change out the pouches and holster and I’m good to go.
This also keeps the handgun and magazines in the same location so that you are not relearning new positions for each.
Rob also shoots L-10 and Limited in these same locations; keeps it simple and consistent.

3-Gun Open Class Rig
| With Multi-Gun competition the ELS rig really comes into play.
One of the biggest challenges with 3-Gun competition is reconfiguring your rig for each course of fire.
This rig makes it easy to change out your pouches and holster to meet the demands of the stage.
For Open Class 3-Gun competition, Mike likes to mount the 013 holster to an ELS Fork so that he can easily remove the holster when not needed.
He will then mount his handgun and rifle mag pouches around his belt.

3-Gun Tactical Class Rig
| Here is my Tactical Scope Multi Gun rig. I either use a drop leg adaptor with a 5198 or 6354 holster to provide added protection to the handgun as seen here or as Mike does, mount a 013 to an ELS Fork system. We also have the option to mount a leg shroud on the left side to carry more ammo if needed.

Bianchi® Cup Open Class Rig
| This is my Bianchi Cup Open Class set up. Either slide your 013 holster belt loop around the belt, or as I prefer, mount your vertical adjustment rod directly to the belt. See inset photo. I use the new Slimline pouches that hold the magazines perpendicular and facing out from the belt, allowing me to carry 8 magazines in a small area of space.

Open/Limited Class Rig
| Open/Limited Class Rig For the Open, Limited and L10 shooter, the ELS Receiver Plates can be mounted in four different configurations, plus with the angle adjustments on the ELS Fork, there is a full 90° of adjustment available for your mag pouches. You can mount the belt through the holster belt loop or mount the 013 rod directly to the belt.
