Safariland's Second Chance^® Summit™ Series builds upon the flexible, wearable ballistic technology found in all legacy Second Chance armor designs. NIJ Standard-0101.06 approved, armor models under the Summit Series are hybrid engineered with Teijin^® Twaron^® aramids, Core Matrix^® technology and Honeywell's patented Gold RS^®. Available in threat Types IIA, II and IIIA, respectively, each Summit Series model offers balanced performance, while optimizing flexibility and comfort for daily wear.

Affordable Performance

Offered in a Type IIA only, the MN01 is one of our most economical armor models, and incorporates a hybrid design with vertical and horizontal Curv^® technology for increased trauma protection and reinforced panel structure.

The SM01 is our most flexible armor model available in Type (Level) II protection. Utilizing Core Matrix® technology in combination with Honeywell's Gold Shield^®, the SM01 Type II provides increased trauma protection and unprecedented ballistic performance against a wide variety of threats.
